CYBER CRIME REDRESSAL COMMITTEE

 

The committee redresses anti-social activities carried out by means of computers or internet.

The objective of the committee is to coordinate various efforts pertaining to Cyber Crime prevention and regulation on campus

CONFIDENTIALITY WILL BE MAINTAINED

The government of India enacted special regulation to curb bullying at higher education institutions– “UGC Regulations on Curbing the Menace of Ragging in Higher Education Institutions, 2009”. A student may also have criminal liability under different sections of the criminal procedure code of India.

STOP CYBER CRIME!!!

Students involved in such obnoxious practices will be liable for rustication, dismissal and expulsion from college in addition to prosecution before the criminal courts.

Cyber Crime offences may also be stamped on academic transcripts and marks cards. Mount Carmel College holds Zero Tolerance Policy against Cyber Crime.

  • Don’t send pictures of yourself to anyone
  • Don’t open emails or attachments from people you don’t know
  • Don’t become online ‘friends’with people you don’t know
