INSTITUTION'S INNOVATION CELL

Innovation is the buzzword of the 21st century.  Innovation is all about converting ideas into new or improved products, processes, and services. It is about taking inventions to the marketplace.  The year 2010-20 has been declared as Innovation decade by our honorable prime minister.

Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Govt. of India has recently established ‘MHRD’s Innovation Cell (MIC)’ to systematically foster the culture of Innovation amongst all Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) to encourage the creative energy of our student population to work on new ideas and innovation and promote them to create start-ups and entrepreneurial ventures  and it has directed Central Universities and the colleges  to actively involve and set up  innovation cell in their institutions.

Institution’s innovation cell at Mount Carmel College was launched on 24th September 2018.  This initiative of the college will create awareness, educate, nurture and inculcate a culture of innovation amongst our students and enable them to generate new ideas and become more innovative and thereby contribute to the development of the community through various developmental activities.

The primary objective of the Institution’sInnovation Cell at MCC is to encourage, inspire and nurture young students by exposing them to new ideas and processes resulting in innovative activities in their formative years. The cell aims at identifying the innovative and entrepreneurial potential of students and transforming them into start-up entrepreneurs. This will be done by developing an ideal entrepreneurial ecosystem and promoting strong inter-institutional partnerships, other ecosystem enablers, different stakeholders, programs, market, and society.
