B.A. in Communication Studies is an interdisciplinary skill-based program covering 30 courses over 3 years. The program has been designed to introduce students to areas such as corporate communication, film, publishing, writing, education, research, television, radio, advertising, marketing, journalism, web design, theatre, curating, archiving, media theories, etc. Students are also trained in technical software connected to design, videography, and sound & video editing.
Learning in this course is not limited to the four walls of a classroom; most learning happens through assignments, group projects, and field work. Students are mentored by faculty with wide experience in their fields along with guest faculty to make the transition from classroom to industry seamless.
Students graduate with a degree in Communication Studies. Owing to their engagement with projects, field work, and internships during the course of the program, our students develop a vast network with industry professionals while still in college.
Our alumni have evolved into professionals in the field of film, TV, radio, advertising and marketing; journalists; illustrators; poets, writers, and publishers; web content developers; event managers; academic & policy researchers; and corporate communicators, among others.
