ESSENCE OF THE PROGRAMME
B. Com (Business process services) Program is more application oriented and gives practical exposure to the students along with the classroom theoretical knowledge of business & industry. The program methodology differs significantly from the traditional method. This program blends Industry Exposure with Academic Knowledge and is intended to prepare ready to be employed Business Graduates. This has encouraged good relationship between TCS and Academia.
TCS is one of the pioneer’s IT Company which has been supporting the academic community across the globe since its origination. Academic Interface program has been initialized with various processes, matrices and structures. Due to the widening gap between educational institutions and the needs of the Industry, more specifically in the case of Business education, there is a need to ensure that education reflects changing work tasks and employment structures. To provide young people with experience in real work settings Educational institutions in our country should be able to create a new generation of business leaders. Hence an attempt is being made to blend B. Com education with needs of the industry and society by providing for conceptual understanding, skill development, competency development, on the Job learning and professional attitudes.

EVALUATION PATTERN
Each course will be evaluated for a maximum of 100 marks comprising of two components namely Continuous Internal Exam (CIE) and Semester End Examination (SEE). The weightage for CIE and SEE is in the ratio of 40:60. The Semester End Examination will be for 60 marks per course and Continuous Internal Assessment will be for 40 Marks respectively.

Program Specifications
ELIGIBILITY
Students who have completed two years Pre-University Course of Karnataka or equivalent there to are eligible to seek admission to B. Com- BPS Degree Course. Students must have done at least two of the commerce subjects.
DURATION OF THE COURSE
The course of study for B. Com- BPS degree shall extend over a period of four academic years consisting of eight semesters.
EXIT OPTIONS
- AT END OF YEAR 1 – EXIT OPTION WITH CERTIFICATION
- AT THE END OF YEAR 2 – EXIT OPTION WITH DIPLOMA
- AT THE END OF YEAR 3 – EXIT OPTION WITH BACHELOR DEGREE
- ON THE COMPLETION OF THE PROGRAM – BACHELOR DEGREE WITH HONORS
MEDIUM OF INSTRUCTION
The medium of Instruction and Examination shall be in English.
The students are expected to conform to the dress code specified by the college management. ID card on-campus is mandatory.
