About the College
Mount Carmel College for Women, run by the Congregation of the Carmelite Sisters of St. Teresa, founded in 1948 to meet the increasing demand for women’s education in India, is a minority institution run primarily for Catholic students but in the spirit of service it opens its doors to those of all castes and creeds. It draws its Inspiration from the Person and Teaching of Jesus Christ, Universal Master and Model of Education.
Initially affiliated to Mysore University, it became an affiliated college of Bangalore University in the year 1964. Post Trifurcation of Bangalore University, the college is affiliated to Bengaluru Central University from the academic year 2018-19. The college has been Assessed and Re-Accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) and been awarded A Grade. The College was granted Autonomy in the academic year 2005 – 2006, and has been identified by UGC as “Centre with Potential for Excellence” (CPE). the college is consistently ranked among the top 10 Institution of higher education in India.
DEPARTMENT OF BUSINESS STUDIES – BBA
The Department of Business Studies was established in 1993 and offers two undergraduate programs in Business Management. BBA –Regular (Specialization in Finance, Marketing, HRM and International Business) and BBA – (Business Analytics).
The program content is delivered by highly experienced, qualified and professional faculty, both full time and visiting. Industry experts constitutes the BOS on a regular basis to make the content industry ready. The institution offers excellent infrastructure, like state of art auditorium, seminar halls, Net enabled library and Computer Centre, A.V Rooms etc.
About the Program
The BBA program is an Undergraduate Degree Program in Business and Management Studies. The Department of Business Studies offers Two undergraduate programs
• BBA –Regular (Specialization in Finance, Marketing, HRM and International Business)
• BBA – Business Analytics
The programs aim to enable students to acquire knowledge and skills required by the industry and business sector. It provides the right nurturing ground for students to pursue their entrepreneurial ambitions. The curriculum is industry driven and facilitated by experienced faculty and follows a contemporary take and emphasizes on offering an overview to launch and manage a business effectively. This ensures that our students acquire knowledge of quantitative, qualitative techniques as well as a thorough understanding of the field. Graduates of this degree will be able to demonstrate their skills in Business Communication, Business Statistics, Management, Finance, Organizational Behaviour, Human Resource Management, Business Analytics etc. The Curricular and Extracurricular activities are designed in a way to ensure that the students receive a holistic understanding of managing business through the curriculum.

SCOPE OF THE PROGRAM
The BBA students after completion of the program can take up middle level executive position in industry or pursue higher education – MBA, M.Com M.B.S, M.M.S. or any other Post Graduate or Professional Course like C.A, ICWA, ACS, ACCA, ICMA and CFA etc.
DURATION OF THE COURSE
The course is divided into six semesters over a three-year period.

The students are expected to conform to the dress code specified by the college management. BBA students are required to dress up formally wear a Blazer every day and must be in their formal uniform for all formal occasions and whenever they represent the college.

About the College
Mount Carmel College for Women, run by the Congregation of the Carmelite Sisters of St. Teresa, founded in 1948 to meet the increasing demand for women’s education in India, is a minority institution run primarily for Catholic students but in the spirit of service it opens its doors to those of all castes and creeds. It draws its Inspiration from the Person and Teaching of Jesus Christ, Universal Master and Model of Education.
Initially affiliated to Mysore University, it became an affiliated college of Bangalore University in the year 1964. Post Trifurcation of Bangalore University, the college is affiliated to Bengaluru Central University from the academic year 2018-19. The college has been Assessed and Re-Accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) and been awarded A Grade. The College was granted Autonomy in the academic year 2005 – 2006, and has been identified by UGC as “Centre with Potential for Excellence” (CPE). the college is consistently ranked among the top 10 Institution of higher education in India.
DEPARTMENT OF BUSINESS STUDIES – BBA
The Department of Business Studies was established in 1993 and offers two undergraduate programs in Business Management. BBA –Regular (Specialization in Finance, Marketing, HRM and International Business) and BBA – (Business Analytics).
The program content is delivered by highly experienced, qualified and professional faculty, both full time and visiting. Industry experts constitutes the BOS on a regular basis to make the content industry ready. The institution offers excellent infrastructure, like state of art auditorium, seminar halls, Net enabled library and Computer Centre, A.V Rooms etc.About the Program

The programs aim to enable students to acquire knowledge and skills required by the industry and business sector.
