Psychology
Overview
The Department of Psychology was established in 1973. From a sole faculty member, the Department has now grown into one of the largest in college, comprising fourteen full time faculty members. The Department offers Honours and Dual-major degrees along with Economics, Sociology, Journalism, English Literature and Communicative English. This allows students to develop an innovative interdisciplinary approach, using Psychology as a pivot to appraise the world better. The department offers a research-intensive degree at the Master’s level since 2015. The emphasis will continue to remain on cultivating a college-community interface, thereby extending the impulse of knowledge and culture of social conscientiousness.
