Cinema, a sequence of visual images, is analogous to a sequence of words. A form of narrative speaking to a particular time and space, how does cinema become a visual archive of history? We the Department of History and the Film Club at MCC is delighted to invite you all for a talk on Film as History by Dr C S Venkiteswaran.
Dr Venkiteswaran is a critic, curator, translator and documentary filmmaker based in Kerala. He has authored several books on cinema and media and is the recipient of National and State Film Awards.
