This seminar invites a discussion on how different disciplines relate to time, particularly literature, performance and history. A brief outlining of different concepts of time will be followed by looking at some key questions in literature, performance and history in relation to writing, presence, archive, and narrative. A detailed example from Performance Studies’ relationship to presence through embodiment and its relationship to the temporal will be discussed by looking at the work of thespian genius Heisnam Sabitri of Kalakshetra Manipur.
