MCC UGC Paramarsh
University Grants Commission (UGC) has launched the scheme – PARAMARSH with the objective of promoting quality education imparted to the next generation by our Higher Education Institutions. This scheme intends to promote well-performing accredited institutions to Mentor the NAAC accreditation aspiring Mentee institutions so as to enable them to get accredited by 2022.
Mount Carmel College reaccredited with A+ with a CGPA of 3.35 in the fourth cycle of NAAC accreditation is one among the Mentoring NAAC Accreditation Aspirant Institutions chosen by UGC.
The Paramarsh scheme of MCC is being directed under the guidance of the Accreditation Ambassador – Dr. Jeevan Kumar, Hon. Professor, Karnataka State Rural Development & Panchayat Raj University, Gadag. The Mentoring is being imparted through the Standing Committee and Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of the College which will facilitate and guide the mentee institution in its operations with the prime objective of upgrading the academic performance and ensuring that the mentee institution gets accredited.
As per the directives of the UGC, the College has identified five Mentee institutions and MOUs have been signed with the Institutions to begin the initiation and implementation of the scheme.
