About Skill Development Centre
Mount Carmel College Centre for Innovation, Incubation, and Entrepreneurship (MCCIIE) has launched an extensive Skill Development Program in collaboration with the Khadi Village Industries Commission (KVIC) to empower students and young professionals. This initiative focuses on enhancing practical skills, fostering innovative thinking, and nurturing entrepreneurial capabilities. The program offers workshops, mentorship, and hands-on projects, equipping them with the expertise needed to initiate their own business ventures. The MCCIIE program prepares individuals to excel in entrepreneurship and contribute meaningfully to the economy.
Programs Conducted
Fruit and Vegetable Preservation Workshop
A five-day workshop on Fruit and Vegetable Preservation was held from 14.12.2022 to 18.12.2022 in collaboration with the Department of Home Science. The workshop aimed to provide practical training on the significance of preserving fruits and vegetables.
Aari Workshop
MCCIIE and the Department of Home Science organized an Aari workshop with the Khadi and Village Industries Commission (KVIC) from 13.02.2023 to 18.02.2023. The workshop focused on teaching Aari embroidery skills, aiming to empower students with the ability to achieve self-employment.
Certified Vocational Course in Beauty and Wellness
In February 2023, KVIC, in collaboration with MCCIIE Skill Development Centre and the Department of Home Science, launched a Certified Vocational Course in Beauty and Wellness. This initiative aims to empower women to start their own businesses.
