Paramarsh

Paramarsh is a scheme launched by the UGC, where accredited institutions coach non-accredited institutions by teaching them how to improve their educational pedagogy. The primary aim of this initiative is to help non-accredited institutions also attain recognition from the UGC. The event will be presided over by Dr. Sr. Aparna, Principal, and the Chief Guest of the event will be Dr. R.K Ramesh Babu, Joint Director, Department of Collegiate Education.

The participating institutions are affiliated to Bangalore University and include Government First Grade College (Malleshwaram, Hesarghatta & Rajajinagar), St. Paul's College (Nagasandra) and Darshan Degree College (Kengeri).

Graduation Day

The Graduation Ceremony is conducted to celebrate the successful completion of the students’ Under Graduation and Post Graduation programs. On this day, every graduating Carmelite takes the pledge rendered by the President of MCC symbolizing that our Carmelites will continue to carry our traditions forward. This is followed by the newly elected President who raises a toast for the Graduates, congratulating and wishing them the best of luck for their future endeavors.
The ceremony also entails the juniors of the cultural associations, that is, Indian Dance Association, Indian Music Association, Western Dance Association, Western Music Association, Street Dance Association, and Dramatics perform for their seniors making the event even more jovial. To end the ceremony, our teachers get together and put up various performances for our students. This ceremony stands as the epitome of our Carmelite spirit and is scheduled to create a spellbinding impact for our students, faculty, and staff on the 13th of March, 2020.

National Level Seminar

To be held on the 19th February 2020, this seminar on "Innovative Strategies in Pedagogy" will feature talks, discussions and enlightening Q & A's by students, professors, and paper-presenters. The topics on the seminar will focus on recognizing the importance of the highest quality training in pedagogy, the role teachers and educators play in administering an effective pedagogical system, the value of having an open platform for discussing issues and challenges and how educational resources and best practices can be utilized to address these issues. Cul-Ah Fest is an annual, inter-collegiate national level fest hosted by Mount Carmel College, Bangalore. This two-day cultural extravaganza is renowned across India and plays host to over 300 Indian Colleges and a crowd of 10,000 people each day. Touching upon a plethora of events in the fields of music, dance, literature, foreign languages, dramatics, etc., students get together on a festive note to celebrate college culture and explore their talents and aspirations while cultivating their prowess!

As we wake to witness the brink of extinction, we cannot further emphasise how pertinent the conservation of wildlife is. To spread awareness on the environmental crisis, we are currently facing and to showcase "The Greener Side" of life, MCC shared its space with Echoes of Earth, and the First Main in association with Nat Geo Wild.
