Principal
The journey of Mount Carmel College over the past 75 years is a journey of ‘Empowering through Education’, making a difference to thousands of young women. Our commitment to value-based education, which integrates classroom learning with experiential learning from industry and community, has nurtured opinion makers and leaders who have made a difference to society.
Over the decades, we have innovated and upgraded our programmes to keep pace with the needs of the Knowledge Economy. Recognised for its vibrant campus life, we take teaching-learning beyond the classrooms at MCC and this has contributed to the overall development of our student community. With over hundred companies visiting our campus annually, we have an excellent record of internships and placements.
Carmelites are engaged by highly qualified, motivated and committed staff whose role has transformed from teachers to mentors and facilitators of learning. Our excellent infrastructure – auditorium, library, classrooms, labs, sports arena, hostel and food court, cater to all the requisites of a rich, vibrant campus life. We also have a strong ecosystem of scholarship, counselling and mentoring which enable students to overcome personal hurdles and move ahead with confidence.
Having successfully completed four cycles of NAAC accreditation and having progressed exponentially after being granted autonomy, Mount Carmel College looks ahead to the next phase of its journey which seeks to make a difference in the lives of the youth and contribute to nation-building. In this Platinum Jubilee year, we celebrate HERSTORY, a story whose vision and mission is inspired by the life of our Foundress, Mother Teresa of St Rose of Lima, a story given direction by the committed management, a story nurtured by sincere staff and a story that celebrates the success of our alumnae. I stand committed to scripting success stories of Confident, Competent & Committed Carmelites who will partner in the building of New India.
