The nightingales of our University have been spreading the wonders of music to the world. Our Carmelites who are renowned as, the Indian Music Association (Moksha) stepped out and participated in Indian Group Singing at Kritya hosted at Jain University on the 29th of January, 2020. We are elated to announce that they secured the first place and left everyone in awe of their musical sensibilities and charismatic attitude. Kudos girls, we hope to keep conjuring such wonderful souls!

This era has kick-started on a mesmerizing musical note as our Indian Music Association (Moksha) chose to participate at the Samyoga held in Jain College. They stole the show by claiming first place in the group singing category and second place in the duet category on the 20th of January, 2020. We are absolutely elated to announce that their performance, perseverance, and commitment towards music has led to this day. We are glad to see them carrying the Carmelite Culture forward!

The Indian Music Association (Moksha) has added one more trophy to our Carmelite Achievement bag! They chose to exude their talent and showcase their musical sensibilities to the world at Jain CMS on the 9th of January, 2020. Their hard work and dedication led to them winning 1st place in an Eastern Acoustic event at Lasya! Let’s join hands and salute the team for their proficiency, yet again as they carry forward the vision of Mount Carmel College with such grace and sonority!

Our very own student, Rochelle Dilip pursuing her Masters in Commerce (International Business) has been working her way through sports for years, now. Her efforts and resilient spirit have led to many victories amongst which she represented the Karnataka team at the National Level Throwball Tournament held in Kurnool, Andhra Pradesh in 2016. As she scaled new heights, we are honoured to announce that she represented Team Indian in the Indo-Thailand International Throwball Club Championship held on 26th September 2019 at Pattaya. Apart from participating, they emerged as the Winners of the International Championship and have many more great days in front of them!

Our student, Lopa Mudra, pursuing her PGDBA at Mount Carmel College has been competing and winning tournaments for years. Her dedication and perseverance have taken her far and we are absolutely honoured to announce that some of her victories are she has represented Karnataka in the Senior National held in Punjab, Ludhiana as a prolific Basketball player. Taking her proficiency forward, she has gone ahead to represent India in the FIBA Asia Women’s Cup in September and recently, claimed the Gold Medal as representative of India in the South Asian Games held in Pokhara, Nepal in December. Let’s wish her the best of luck in her endeavours and cheer on for her wonderful achievements!

In the pursuit of academic excellence, our student, Preethi N pursuing her 4th Semester in B.Com. IAF has showcased her intellectual prowess and claimed a worldwide presence. In the Financial Reporting Paper conducted by ACCA (UK), she stood 3rd in India and 9th in the World. Her sincere efforts and curiosity to learn more and spread her knowledge have helped her claim this ranking. We would like to extend our heartfelt congratulations to her and hope to continue seeing such rising stars inspire Carmelites to keep striving for the best!
