Mount Carmel Placement Cell was initiated in the year 2002

The objective of the Placement Cell is to provide our students’ Campus Placements in the best companies and to impart right training & instill confidence in them to face the corporate world.


Our Methodology – How do we achieve it?

  • Campus recruitment training
    The CRT training is conducted for the 2nd year which comprises of Aptitude and soft skills.
    Our CRT Partners STEP UP Learning Solutions, TIME and Career Launchers are a few to mention.
  • Career Counseling
    Career counseling is given to students who register for placement to understand their field of interest and also to guide them on the right career path.
  • Campus Ambassador Program & Scholarship Contests
    This program helps the students to engage with the companies with excel training, management projects, Case study & Business Plan Contests, various corporate quizzes on campus etc.
  • Train the trainer program
    The train-the-trainer program was conducted to ensure that the training team is trained by the corporate trainers on how to train the fellow students on various soft skill aspects
  • Seminars from Corporate Leaders & Senior Managers
    Various Corporate leaders from the director or even a partners of MNC’s are called conduct seminars not only on skills required to get a job, but how not to lose it.
  • Internship opportunities
    Internship culture is welcome at Mount Carmel as the students get an opportunity to get to know the corporate world in their 1st & 2nd year itself.
    The Placement Office organizes the internship season in the institute. Students will be available for full time internship starting 3rd week of April to 4th week of May every academic year (Tentative).
    For Part time internship & Jobs, the students are available only after College hours.
  • Encourage Start up culture
    We at Mount Carmel encourage students to join start ups as they provide students a platform to understand the big picture of the company rather than just only a particular field
  • Formation of a placement & training association
    The placement association was formed to ensure excellent hospitality during the companies stay on campus & also to ensure all the placement activities are informed to students of various streams.
  • Coffee with Manager
    This program was started in the year 2015-16 in order to have an informal discussion with the various mangers from the corporate field & to ensure that the wrong perceptions of a corporate organizations are eliminated
  • Seasonal Trainings
    Trainings between the Semesters are initiated to ensure that soft skill training on group discussions, personal interview, basic corporate etiquettes, are imparted to the fellow students and also the job description of the company is explained to the student before placement drives.

MCC Placement Cell – Recruitment Process

For Companies:

The Recruitment Season begins in the month of August every academic year.

The MCC Placement Cell works all days to ensure that every Carmelite succeeds in getting placed in Campus  to get students geared up commences mid Aug and functions  of the an academic year.

Companies that wish to participate in the Recruitment Process at MCC are required to indicate the Job Profile, preferred skill set and approximate Cost to Company (CTC) by dropping a mail to or by filling the Company Job AnnouncementForm

Based on this information, the schedule for the Placement drive is fixed by the Placement Cell in consultation with the Company. We encourage our students to attend Off Campus & Pool Recruitment Drives too.

Apart for Recruiting, you are most welcome to engage our students with the following activities:

It is advised that all the Recruiting Companies review the Recruiting Company Policy

  • On Campus: The drive is conducted as scheduled. Companies can choose to give a Pre Placement Talk/ Presentation. The entire procedure for recruitment (Aptitude, GD, Case study, PI etc) is left to the Company’s choice. The required logistics for the recruitment will be arranged by the Placement Cell.
  • Off Campus: Companies which are unable to visit the campus are provided with the updated CV/ Resumes of the interested students. The Company can shortlist the students and call them for the recruitment process at their office. Post recruitment process the recruiting company is required to announce an intimate the college Placement Cell about the final list of selected candidates.
